How an icoone® Session Works: Base, Focus and Room Setup
A 20-minute Base full-body pass plus 10-minute Focus programs inside a 40–60-minute slot, run 2–3× a week — plus the room layout two-hand application needs.

An icoone® session is built from two blocks: a 20-minute Base full-body pass and one or more 10-minute Focus programs on targeted zones. Wrapped in consultation, body suit and turnover, that fits a 40 to 60-minute booking slot, and i-Tech’s protocol structure runs it as a series two to three times a week. Here is how to schedule and staff it.
What actually happens in a session?
The therapist selects a programme on the console — 24 on icoone® Beauty and Laser Beauty, 40 on Medical and Laser-Med, 22 on the Microfacial — fits the client with a body suit, and begins with a full-body Base pass using the paired Robotwins in two-hand symmetrical application, which is exclusive to icoone®. Roboderm® drives up to 21,600 microstimulations a minute through a microstimulator surface that is 86% micro-holes. The action is non-thermal, suits every skin type and needs no downtime, so the client walks out and goes back to their day.
How do Base and Focus programs fit together?
| Block | Typical length | Handpieces | Purpose in the session |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consultation and prep | 5–10 min | — | Goals, body suit, positioning |
| Base — full body | 20 min | Robotwins (two-hand) | Even full-body pass, both sides at once |
| Focus — targeted zone | 10 min | Robomini / Robomicro | One zone the client came in for |
| Second Focus (optional) | 10 min | Robomini / Robomicro | A second zone or a face finish |
| Close and rebook | 5 min | — | Series booking, retail, next slot |
That structure is why 40 minutes is the practical floor and 60 minutes the comfortable standard. Grip 1/2/3 modes from the U.S. manual let the therapist adjust intensity by zone without leaving the programme, which is what keeps the session on the clock.
How does this map to i-Tech’s named protocols?
i-Tech publishes spa protocol names your menu can license, and they align neatly to the Base-plus-Focus grid: Instant Well Being 20’, Time Stop Face 30’, Sweet Dreams 30’, Detox Express 40’, Jet Lag Recover 40’, Immuno Stimulation 50’, Relaxing Retreat 50’, Dynamic Skin Reactivation 50’, Body Glow 60’, Perfect Shape 60’ and Eating Enjoy 70’. A 40-minute Detox Express is a Base plus two Focus blocks. A 20-minute Instant Well Being is a Base alone — which makes it the right express add-on when a client has an hour of errands, not an afternoon.
Pair those names against your rooms rather than inventing a menu from scratch. They are already running in 7,000+ centers across 40+ countries per i-Tech, and they translate into booking software cleanly because each carries an explicit duration.
What cadence should the menu assume?
Two to three sessions a week, sold as a series. That is the protocol structure i-Tech built, and it should drive three decisions on your side: your pricing ladder (single, series of 6, series of 10), your calendar (recurring slots, not one-off bookings), and your rebooking script (the next appointment is set before the client leaves the room). Sessions retail at $150–$350 per i-Tech; where you land inside that band is a market decision. Illustrative menu structures are in the drainage program guide and the payback arithmetic in the investment planning guide.
How should the room be set up?
Design around two-hand application. Because the therapist works both sides of the body simultaneously and moves around the table rather than staying at one hip, the room needs walkable clearance on both long sides of the table plus a home position for the console within easy reach of the handpieces. A room already sized for manual massage is the right starting point; a narrow facial-bay footprint is not, unless you are running a face-only Microfacial room.
Practical points worth settling before delivery day: where the console parks between clients, where the handpieces live so they are not lifted across the client, where body suits are stored clean and where used ones go, and whether the room lighting works for a face finish as well as a body pass. None of that is expensive — it is just cheaper to decide before installation than after. Installation is included with every full-price device.
How many sessions a day can one room run?
At a 60-minute slot with a 40-minute Base-plus-Focus structure, a single room supports six to eight bookings across a full day, and most operators plan four to six as a realistic sustained load. One trained therapist runs one room. Two therapists share one device comfortably across a six-day week; the moment you need a seventh and eighth daily slot consistently, you are looking at a second room rather than a longer day.
Consumables do not gate throughput: body sessions use a client body suit, and there are no tips, cartridges or applicators to replace. The Microfacial has no cartridges or disposables to replace. That means a fully booked day costs you therapist hours and suits, not a per-session part.
What does the team need to know before the first client?
Training is included with every full-price device from DNA Distribution and is delivered against the i-Tech curriculum: the handpiece set, the programme library, Grip modes, consultation flow, and the hygiene protocol including the body suit. The training page covers the onboarding week in detail. Pair it with the 90-Day Launch Program so the schedule you have just designed actually fills — $10,000 program value, managed marketing plus up to $2,500 of ad spend, running until 30 booked paying clients or 90 days, whichever comes first, on full-price device purchases.
Which model do I run this session structure on?
Any icoone®, but the menu scope differs. Beauty at $79,000 (≈ $1,730/mo) and Laser Beauty at $85,000 (≈ $1,860/mo) cover face and body with 24 programmes; Medical at $87,000 (≈ $1,904/mo) and Laser-Med at $89,000 (≈ $1,948/mo) add the 16 medical programmes; the Microfacial at $58,000 (≈ $1,269/mo) is face-only. Monthly figures are 60 months, $0 down, qualified buyers, subject to applicant and provider approval — see icoone® cost and financing.
On regulatory scope: Laser Beauty (510(k) K182453) and Laser-Med (510(k) K211272) are cleared for four labeled indications — relief of minor muscle aches and pain; relief of muscle spasms; temporary improvement of local blood circulation; temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. The other configurations carry no FDA wording. Browse the aesthetic range, the cellulite category or the icoone® hub next.
Questions buyers ask
How long is an icoone® session?
+
Most operators book 40 to 60 minutes. A 20-minute Base full-body pass plus one or two 10-minute Focus programs fills 30–40 minutes of table time, and the rest of the slot covers consultation, the body suit and turnover. i-Tech's own protocol names run from 20 to 70 minutes.
How often should clients come in?
+
i-Tech's protocol structure is built around series booked two to three times a week. That cadence is what your menu and your pricing should assume — a single session is a trial, a series is the product.
What is a Base program versus a Focus program?
+
Base is the full-body pass that opens the session, typically 20 minutes with the Robotwins in two-hand symmetrical application. Focus is a shorter targeted block, around 10 minutes, on a specific zone using Robomini or Robomicro handpieces.
How big does the treatment room need to be?
+
Big enough for a table with walkable clearance on both long sides plus the console. Two-hand symmetrical application means the therapist moves around the client rather than staying at one hip, so a room sized for manual massage is the right starting point.
What does the client wear?
+
Body sessions use a client body suit, which is also the hygiene layer. There are no tips, cartridges or applicators to replace, so the suit and the therapist's time are your per-session variable cost.
