Ground rules
How a distributor should write a competitor comparison
We distribute icoone®. Rather than pretend otherwise, here is exactly where each claim on this page comes from.
Everything stated about icoone® comes from I-Tech Industries materials, the FDA 510(k) records, or DNA Distribution's own commercial terms. Everything stated about Endospheres is a generic description of the technology, marked per publicly available manufacturer materials. We do not publish competitor pricing, competitor programme counts or competitor regulatory status.
No safety comparison is made anywhere on this page. Describing icoone® as non-thermal mechanical stimulation is a description of our own device and nothing more; do not read it as a statement about any other product. Both devices in this comparison are mechanical platforms operated by trained professionals, and the sensible question is not which is safer but which produces the service your practice wants to sell.
The comparable dimensions are mechanism, application, regulatory context, consumables, installed base, market scarcity and post-sale support. Those are on the table below.

Mechanism
Contact geometry is the whole argument
Both platforms are mechanical. What separates them is how many discrete points of contact a single pass makes, and whether the application is symmetrical.
Fractional, not broad. 86% of every Roboderm® microstimulator's surface is micro-holes. A pass therefore delivers thousands of small, discrete stimulations rather than a smaller number of larger ones — up to 21,600 per minute at full speed. i-Tech calls it Multi Micro Alveolar Stimulation.
Built on a specific hypothesis. Roboderm® was patented in 2008 by Gianfranco Tudico, CEO of i-Tech Industries, following Prof. Jean-Claude Guimberteau's work on the microvacuolar structure of subcutaneous tissue — the idea that the tissue's own architecture responds better to many gentle targeted actions than to one aggressive one. 15+ studies are published on icoone.com and a Scientific Committee of 40+ clinicians reviews the protocols.
Symmetry. Twin motorised Robotwins handpieces work both sides of the body at once. i-Tech states this two-hand robotic application is exclusive to icoone®; on the floor it means the same coverage in less chair time and a session clients describe as unlike anything else on the menu.
Every skin type, daily use, no downtime. That is the manufacturer's positioning for the mechanical platform across the whole range.
Key outcomes after the first session as reported by i-Tech Industries clinical evaluations. Individual results vary. No comparative claim against any other manufacturer's device is made or implied.
Regulatory
Two clearances, four indications, and a database you should read yourself
FDA 510(k) K182453 / K211272
Four labeled indications — laser-equipped configurations only
icoone® Laser Beauty and icoone® Laser-Med are cleared by the U.S. FDA for exactly these four indications, stated as labeled:
- 1Relief of minor muscle aches and pain
- 2Relief of muscle spasms
- 3Temporary improvement of local blood circulation
- 4Temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite

Our clearances are narrow and we publish them narrowly: two configurations, two 510(k) numbers, four labeled indications, with the FDA PDFs linked. Non-laser icoone® Beauty, icoone® Medical and the icoone® Microfacial are not represented as FDA-cleared anywhere on this site.
For Endospheres, verify the competitor's 510(k) status on the FDA device database and read the indications-for-use statement directly. Any device seller — us included — should be able to hand you a K-number and a link. If one cannot, that is the finding.

Market position
Fewer than 100 in the country, 7,000+ centers in the world
Scarcity is a business asset, and it is one of the few in this category that a spec sheet cannot fake.
icoone® has 7,000+ centers in 40+ countries, 6M+ sessions a year and 800,000+ clients behind it — and fewer than 100 devices in the entire United States. A mature platform that has not yet saturated the American market is an unusual thing to be able to buy. It means the first practice in a metro sets the price, names the protocol and owns the local category, instead of joining a queue of providers discounting the same service.
The luxury reference wall does the rest of the work. Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, Aman, Chanel, Six Senses, Peninsula, St. Regis, Belmond, Waldorf Astoria, Equinox Hotel New York, SHA Wellness Clinic, Clinique La Prairie, Dorchester Collection, Dior Spa at The Lana in Dubai. Those are icoone® installations worldwide published by the manufacturer, not DNA Distribution clients — but they are the association your own marketing gets to stand next to.

Questions buyers ask
What is the difference between icoone® and Endospheres?
+
Both are mechanical devices, but the contact geometry differs. Endospheres is described in publicly available manufacturer materials as compressive microvibration delivered through a roller of silicone spheres. icoone® uses patented Roboderm® microstimulators whose surface is 86% micro-holes, delivering up to 21,600 fractional microstimulations per minute — Multi Micro Alveolar Stimulation — applied with two motorised hands at once.
Is icoone® thermal?
+
The Roboderm® mechanical action is non-thermal mechanical stimulation. The two laser configurations, icoone® Laser Beauty and Laser-Med, add a low-level 915 nm laser and a 650 nm LED alongside the mechanical action. We describe our own device only and make no assertion about how any other manufacturer’s device behaves.
Which one is FDA-cleared?
+
icoone® Laser Beauty is cleared under 510(k) K182453 and icoone® Laser-Med under 510(k) K211272, each for four labeled indications: relief of minor muscle aches and pain; relief of muscle spasms; temporary improvement of local blood circulation; temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. For Endospheres, verify the competitor’s 510(k) status on the FDA device database.
How much does icoone® cost?
+
Public pricing runs from $58,000 for the face-only Microfacial to $89,000 for Laser-Med, with Beauty at $79,000, Laser Beauty at $85,000 and Medical at $87,000. Financed over 60 months at $0 down for qualified buyers that is roughly $1,269 to $1,948 a month, subject to applicant and provider approval. Competitor pricing is not published here.
What are the consumables?
+
icoone® body sessions use a client body suit, which is a per-client cost to budget. There are no tips, cartridges or applicators to replace on any icoone® configuration and no per-session licence fees. The Microfacial has no cartridges or disposables to replace. Ask any competing manufacturer for its replacement-part schedule in writing.
Which is the better business decision?
+
The device that gives you a service nobody nearby sells, at a price your market supports, with an operator you can hire. There are fewer than 100 icoone® devices in the entire United States against 7,000+ centers worldwide, so in most metros icoone® is a first-to-market position with a luxury reference wall already built for you.
How long is a session?
+
It depends on the protocol. i-Tech publishes spa protocol names your menu can license that run from Instant Well Being at 20 minutes and Time Stop Face at 30, through Detox Express at 40 and Relaxing Retreat at 50, to Perfect Shape and Body Glow at 60 and Eating Enjoy at 70 minutes. The two-hand application covers both sides of the body at once.
Regulatory scope
FDA-cleared wording on this site applies only to the laser-equipped icoone® configurations — icoone® Laser Beauty (510(k) K182453) and icoone® Laser-Med (510(k) K211272) — and only to their four labeled indications: relief of minor muscle aches and pain; relief of muscle spasms; temporary improvement of local blood circulation; temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. Non-laser icoone® configurations and icoone® Microfacial are not represented as FDA-cleared.
