icoone® Training: What Your Team Learns Before Session One
Training is included with every full-price icoone®: 11 handpieces, 24–40 programmes, Grip modes, consultation and hygiene — plus a structured onboarding week.

icoone® training is included with every full-price device from DNA Distribution and is delivered by our team against the i-Tech Industries curriculum. Your staff learns the handpiece set, the programme library, Grip 1/2/3 modes, consultation flow and the hygiene protocol including the client body suit — before the first paying client is on the table.
Why does training matter more on this platform than most?
Because icoone® is a technique device, not a button device. Two-hand symmetrical application — exclusive to icoone® — means the therapist works both sides of the body at once and moves around the table rather than staying at one hip. That is a genuinely different choreography from a single-handpiece platform, and it is learned rather than intuited. Get it right and one operator covers a full-body Base pass in twenty minutes; get it wrong and your sessions run long, your slots slip and your day loses a booking.
What is in the curriculum?
| Module | What it covers | Who needs it |
|---|---|---|
| The platform | Roboderm® Multi Micro Alveolar Stimulation, up to 21,600 microstimulations/min, 86% micro-hole surface, non-thermal, every skin type | Everyone |
| Handpieces | 11 on body/beauty configurations: 1 Robosolo, 2 Robotwins, 2 Robomini, 1 Robomicro with 6 attachments | Therapists |
| Programme library | 24 programmes on Beauty and Laser Beauty; 40 (24 aesthetic + 16 medical) on Medical and Laser-Med | Therapists |
| Grip modes | Grip 1, 2 and 3 per the U.S. manual — when and why to change | Therapists |
| Session structure | Base full-body pass plus Focus blocks inside a 40–60-minute slot; series cadence of two to three a week | Therapists + front desk |
| Consultation | Mapping client goals to programmes and to a series, not a single | Therapists + front desk |
| Hygiene | Client body suit protocol, handpiece care, room turnover | Everyone |
| Scope | Which sentences belong to which model | Everyone, especially marketing |
On the Microfacial the module set shifts to the face configuration: 17 handpieces and applicators including Microskin in two sizes, the 650 nm LED Photodynamic handpiece, Microkiss in three sizes, Robomini and Robomicro; 22 programmes and 21 face protocols across 7 zones; plus the ICO-ONE skincare line, which is both an in-cabin product and a retail line.
Who should sit in the room?
Everyone who touches the client journey. Therapists obviously — they run the console and the handpieces. But the front desk is the module most practices skip and most regret skipping. The person booking appointments has to describe the session accurately (“robotic microstimulation, two hands at once, non-thermal, no downtime, forty to sixty minutes”), and they have to book a series rather than a single, because i-Tech’s protocol structure is built around two to three sessions a week. A perfectly trained therapist with a front desk selling one-offs produces a half-full calendar.
How does scope get taught?
Directly, because the boundary is model-specific and it is easy to get wrong. Only icoone® Laser Beauty (FDA 510(k) K182453) and icoone® Laser-Med (FDA 510(k) K211272) carry cleared indications, and only four: relief of minor muscle aches and pain; relief of muscle spasms; temporary improvement of local blood circulation; temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. The non-laser Beauty and Medical configurations and the Microfacial carry no FDA wording and are positioned as cosmetic aesthetic. All icoone® devices are CE marked and ISO 13485.
Practically, the team learns two scripts — one for the model on your floor, one list of things nobody says regardless of model. The full map is in the scope guide.
What does an onboarding week look like?
Most practices structure it around installation, which is included with every full-price device:
Setup and orientation. Device positioned, room laid out for two-hand work with walkable clearance on both sides of the table, console home position agreed, body suits stocked and a clean/used flow decided.
Hands-on. Each handpiece in turn, on staff bodies. This is where Grip modes stop being an abstraction. Practice sessions on colleagues are worth more than any amount of slide time.
Menu build. Turning programmes into published menu items with durations and prices. i-Tech’s spa protocol names — Instant Well Being 20’, Time Stop Face 30’, Detox Express 40’, Jet Lag Recover 40’, Relaxing Retreat 50’, Body Glow 60’, Perfect Shape 60’, Eating Enjoy 70’ — are available to license, so you are adapting rather than inventing. Sessions retail at $150–$350 per i-Tech.
Consultation and rebooking. Scripts for the first consultation and for the rebooking conversation that happens before the client leaves the room.
Soft open. Real clients at a controlled volume, so the first fully booked day is not also the first day anyone runs the device for money.
Then the 90-Day Launch Program takes over on demand: $10,000 program value, fully managed marketing plus up to $2,500 of ad spend, running from marketing go-live until 30 booked paying clients or 90 days, whichever comes first, on full-price device purchases and requiring Launch Playbook participation.
What support continues after the first week?
A dedicated success manager, manufacturer warranty and open-house event support come with every full-price purchase. That last one is underrated — an open house with a device nobody in your market has seen is the cheapest demand you will ever generate. Fewer than 100 icoone® devices are installed in the United States, against 7,000+ centers in 40+ countries worldwide per i-Tech, so “come see the only one in the city” is a literally true invitation.
What should I read before booking training?
Understand what you are buying first. The icoone® hub and the aesthetic range cover the platform; session planning covers the Base-and-Focus structure your team will learn; the drainage menu and cellulite category cover the two menus most practices launch with. Prices run $58,000 to $89,000 with monthly figures of ≈ $1,269 to ≈ $1,948 on a 60-month term at $0 down for qualified buyers, subject to applicant and provider approval — see icoone® cost and financing. Availability and territory through DNA Distribution. Full training detail on the training page.
Questions buyers ask
Is icoone® training included in the price?
+
Yes. Training is included with every full-price device purchase from DNA Distribution, alongside shipping, installation, manufacturer warranty, the 90-Day Launch Program, a dedicated success manager and open-house event support. It is delivered by our team against the i-Tech Industries curriculum.
What does the team actually learn?
+
The handpiece set, the programme library, Grip 1/2/3 modes from the U.S. manual, consultation and client-goal mapping, session structure, and the hygiene protocol including the client body suit. On the Microfacial, the 17 handpieces and applicators and the ICO-ONE skincare line are added.
Who should be trained?
+
Every therapist who will run the device, plus whoever books and sells. The front desk needs to describe the session accurately and book series correctly; the therapist needs the console and the handpieces. Training both together is what makes the first month work.
Does training cover what we can and cannot claim?
+
Yes. Scope is part of onboarding, because only icoone® Laser Beauty (510(k) K182453) and Laser-Med (510(k) K211272) carry cleared indications, and only four of them. Your team learns which sentences belong to the model you actually bought.
How soon can we take clients?
+
Most practices structure an onboarding week around installation: device setup, hands-on with each handpiece, practice sessions on staff, menu and pricing build, then a soft-open. The 90-Day Launch Program begins at marketing go-live, so training and demand-generation run in sequence.
90-Day Launch Program
