icoone® in St. Louis: Market Notes for Missouri Spas
A St. Louis view of icoone®: five configurations from $58,000 to $89,000, fewer than 100 U.S. devices, session math at 26 operating days, and launch support.

St. Louis is an underrated market for a scarce device, because the constraint here is differentiation rather than spending power. icoone® is a robotic microstimulation platform from i-Tech Industries sold in five configurations from $58,000 to $89,000, with fewer than 100 devices installed across the United States — and in most markets the first icoone® practice is still open.
What does the St. Louis competitive set actually look like?
Broad and conventional. Between Clayton, Ladue, Frontenac, Chesterfield, the Central West End and the Kirkwood–Webster Groves corridor, a client with real disposable income has an unusually wide choice of injectables, facials and the familiar endermologie-style roller menu. What she does not have is much choice of mechanism. The equipment behind most menus in the metro belongs to categories that have been in the U.S. for two decades and number in the thousands of units.
That is the opening. A device with 7,000+ centers in 40+ countries but fewer than 100 U.S. installations lets a St. Louis practice offer something that is genuinely established internationally and genuinely new locally — a combination that is hard to construct from any other category.
The metro’s healthcare density is the second factor. A market with this concentration of clinical employment produces referral relationships between aesthetic practices and physical-therapy, chiropractic and rehabilitation practices that are harder to build elsewhere, which is why the Medical and Laser-Med configurations get more attention here than they do in a resort market.
How does the economics change in a lower-cost market?
Favourably, and in the direction people usually get backwards. The monthly payment on an icoone® is the same in St. Louis as in Manhattan; the occupancy cost around it is not. That means the break-even session count is lower, not higher, even if your ticket sits mid-band rather than top-band.
i-Tech reports icoone® sessions retailing between $150 and $350 nationally. Run the arithmetic conservatively at the middle of that band, on 26 operating days:
| Sessions/day | Session price | Monthly billings | Less payment (icoone® Beauty ≈ $1,730) | Contribution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $175 | $4,550 | −$1,730 | $2,820 |
| 2 | $200 | $10,400 | −$1,730 | $8,670 |
| 3 | $225 | $17,550 | −$1,730 | $15,820 |
Every figure is illustrative planning arithmetic before staffing and rent, not a forecast. But the shape holds: at $200 a session, roughly nine sessions a month cover a ≈ $1,730 payment. The wider structure, including the Microfacial’s illustrative economics from i-Tech, sits on the ROI guide and the investment planning guide.
Consumables matter more than most buyers price in. Body sessions use a client body suit, so there are no tips, cartridges or applicators to replace, and the Microfacial has no cartridges or disposables. On a device running four sessions a day, that line separates five-year cost far more than the $6,000 between two configurations.
One more local factor is worth naming: client tenure. St. Louis practices tend to hold clients for years rather than seasons, which makes a course-based menu more valuable here than in a transient market. i-Tech’s face menu covers anti-ageing, wrinkles, firming, defatiguing, toning, exfoliant and illuminating; the body menu covers the appearance of cellulite, reshaping, drain, stretch marks, scars, tightening, relaxing massage and pregnancy. That is a menu you can sell as a programme to someone who will still be on your books in three years.
What is the technology, in one paragraph?
Roboderm®, patented in 2008 by Dr. Gianfranco Tudico of i-Tech Industries, delivers Multi Micro Alveolar Stimulation. 86% of the microstimulator surface is micro-holes, producing up to 21,600 microstimulations per minute, with two-hand symmetrical application that is exclusive to the platform. The design draws on Prof. Jean-Claude Guimberteau’s work on the microvacuolar structure of connective tissue. It works on every skin type, is suitable for daily use and has no downtime. Body and beauty models carry 11 handpieces and 24 programmes; medical models add 16 more. Laser configurations add a 915 nm laser and 650 nm LED. More on Roboderm® technology.
Which configuration should a Missouri practice buy?
| Model | Price | ≈ monthly | Typical St. Louis buyer |
|---|---|---|---|
| icoone® Microfacial | $58,000 | ≈ $1,269/mo | Skin clinics and facial-led day spas |
| icoone® Beauty | $79,000 | ≈ $1,730/mo | Full-service spas adding face and body |
| icoone® Laser Beauty | $85,000 | ≈ $1,860/mo | Aesthetic practices wanting the cleared indications |
| icoone® Medical | $87,000 | ≈ $1,904/mo | Wellness centers, chiropractic, PT |
| icoone® Laser-Med | $89,000 | ≈ $1,948/mo | Integrated clinics and surgical practices |
Founders’ 25 currently brings the Microfacial to $50,000, ≈ $1,095/mo. All monthly figures assume a 60-month equipment term loan, $0 down for qualified buyers, subject to applicant and provider approval — see financing and icoone® cost. icoone® Laser Beauty (510(k) K182453) and Laser-Med (510(k) K211272) are cleared for four labeled indications: relief of minor muscle aches and pain; relief of muscle spasms; temporary improvement of local blood circulation; temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. Non-laser Beauty and Medical and the Microfacial carry no FDA wording.
Where does Cryoskin® fit alongside it?
Cryoskin® Revolution is the complementary session line, and it fills a different slot in the book. It is a cryo-thermal aesthetic spa device made in Lyon, France by Cryoskin® Paris, running 20–28-minute body, skin and facial sessions as a relaxing warm-and-cool experience — no suction cups, no downtime, and skin that looks firmer, smoother and more radiant. There are no consumables; routine operation uses low-cost conductive gel. Clients love it and rebook. It is installed on 210+ luxury cruise ships through OneSpaWorld across 21 cruise lines, at Harrods and at House of Elemis in London, with 5,000+ devices in 50+ countries per the manufacturer. The Dynamic wand is $39,990 (≈ $875/mo); the Full Unit with static pads is $59,990 (≈ $1,313/mo), on the same 60-month terms. In a St. Louis room, it is the shorter, higher-frequency booking that keeps a schedule dense between longer icoone® appointments. See Cryoskin®.
What is the first step?
Ask about availability. Fewer than 100 icoone® devices exist in the U.S., and in most markets the first icoone® practice is still open — a sentence that will not be true forever. Start at the icoone® hub, compare against the roller menu already in the metro on icoone® vs endermologie, read the 90-Day Launch Program terms, then book a discovery call and get a straight answer on St. Louis.
Questions buyers ask
Does a premium European device make sense in the St. Louis market?
+
It does where occupancy is the constraint rather than ticket price. St. Louis rooms carry lower occupancy cost than coastal markets, so the same ≈ $1,730 monthly payment on icoone® Beauty is absorbed by fewer sessions. The differentiator is scarcity: fewer than 100 icoone® devices are installed in the U.S.
What are the five icoone® prices?
+
Microfacial $58,000, Beauty $79,000, Laser Beauty $85,000, Medical $87,000, Laser-Med $89,000 — approximately $1,269, $1,730, $1,860, $1,904 and $1,948 per month on a 60-month equipment term loan at $0 down for qualified buyers, subject to applicant and provider approval.
Which configuration suits a wellness center rather than a med spa?
+
icoone® Medical at $87,000 or Laser-Med at $89,000 carry 40 programmes against 24 on the aesthetic models, which suits chiropractic, physical-therapy and integrated wellness practices. Laser-Med is cleared under FDA 510(k) K211272 for four labeled indications including relief of minor muscle aches and pain.
What marketing support comes with the device?
