In Manhattan the device price is rarely the decision. Rent is. icoone® earns its place in a New York room because one platform bills across a face and body menu with 24 to 40 pre-set programmes and no tips, cartridges or applicators to replace on body sessions. It is sold in five configurations from $58,000 to $89,000, with fewer than 100 devices installed in the United States.

What is the real Manhattan metric?

Revenue per room-hour, net of consumables. A device that costs $85,000 and bills $300 an hour with no per-session disposable beats a $40,000 device that bills $250 an hour and consumes $35 of cartridge each time — and the gap compounds across a lease. That framing is why New York operators tend to arrive at a shortlist that looks expensive on a spreadsheet and cheap on a P&L.

icoone® fits the frame in three ways. Body sessions use a client body suit, so there are no tips, cartridges or applicators to replace; the Microfacial has no cartridges or disposables. The programme library is broad enough that a single room sells face and body menus rather than one service. And sessions have no downtime and work on every skin type, which removes the scheduling friction that kills utilisation in a two-room Flatiron or Tribeca studio.

What does the New York competitive picture look like?

Dense, sophisticated and already educated. Between the Upper East Side, SoHo, Tribeca, Flatiron and Midtown, a Manhattan client has been through injectables, lasers, and the endermologie-style roller menu — that category alone runs into the thousands of devices nationally. She is not looking for another version of what she has had. She is looking for something her friends have not booked yet.

Two facts help you say that credibly. First, scarcity: fewer than 100 icoone® devices are installed in the U.S. against i-Tech’s 7,000+ centers in 40+ countries, and in most markets the first icoone® practice is still open. Second, the New York reference itself — Equinox Hotel New York appears on i-Tech’s reference wall of properties where icoone® is installed worldwide, alongside NoMad London, Four Seasons, The Ritz-Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, Aman and Dorchester Collection.

The press file is genuine and quotable. Vogue US, October 2019: “This Cult L.A. Body-Sculpting Treatment Just Landed in Soho.” Vogue US, January 2020: “Puff Piece: Test Driving the Newest Solutions for Keeping Skin Fit and Firm.” Forbes, April 2021: “How Anna Zahn of Ricari Studios Is Revolutionizing the Self-Care Industry.” The Wall Street Journal, December 2019: “Gifts for the ‘Extreme Self-Care’ Person in Your Life.” All in connection with icoone® at Ricari Studios. What is actually in the room?

Roboderm®, patented in 2008 by Dr. Gianfranco Tudico of i-Tech Industries, delivering Multi Micro Alveolar Stimulation. 86% of the microstimulator surface is micro-holes, producing up to 21,600 microstimulations per minute, applied with two-hand symmetrical handpieces that are exclusive to the platform. The approach is informed by Prof. Jean-Claude Guimberteau’s work on the microvacuolar structure of connective tissue.

Body and beauty models carry 11 handpieces — 1 Robosolo, 2 Robotwins, 2 Robomini, 1 Robomicro with six attachments — and 24 beauty programmes; medical models add 16 for 40 total; laser models add a 915 nm laser and 650 nm LED. The face-only Microfacial is its own build with 22 programmes, 21 face protocols, 17 handpieces and applicators, and the ICO-ONE skincare line for retail attach.

Founders’ 25 currently brings the Microfacial to $50,000, ≈ $1,095/mo. Financing runs through Brickhouse Financial: 60-month equipment term loan, $0 down for qualified buyers, around 11.3% APR, subject to applicant and provider approval. See financing and icoone® cost.

icoone® Laser Beauty is cleared under FDA 510(k) K182453 and Laser-Med under K211272, for four labeled indications: relief of minor muscle aches and pain; relief of muscle spasms; temporary improvement of local blood circulation; temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. Non-laser Beauty and Medical and the Microfacial carry no FDA wording.

How does the session math read at New York prices?

i-Tech reports sessions retailing between $150 and $350 nationally; Manhattan sits at the top of that band and frequently above it. On 26 operating days, an illustrative three sessions a day at $300 is $23,400 in monthly billings against a ≈ $1,730 payment on icoone® Beauty. At $300, roughly six sessions a month cover the payment — which in a Manhattan room is the first two days of the month.

Those figures are illustrative planning arithmetic before staffing and rent, not a forecast. The variable that actually decides your outcome is utilisation, which is why the 90-Day Launch Program is structured around the first 90 days of bookings rather than the purchase. Fuller modelling is on the ROI guide.

Where does Cryoskin® fit alongside it?

Cryoskin® Revolution is the complementary session line and the shorter booking of the two. It is a cryo-thermal aesthetic spa device made in Lyon, France by Cryoskin® Paris, running 20–28-minute body, skin and facial sessions as a relaxing warm-and-cool experience — no suction cups, no downtime, and skin that looks firmer, smoother and more radiant. There are no consumables; routine operation uses low-cost conductive gel. Clients love it and rebook. It is installed on 210+ luxury cruise ships through OneSpaWorld across 21 cruise lines, at Harrods and at House of Elemis in London, with 5,000+ devices in 50+ countries per the manufacturer. Dynamic is $39,990 (≈ $875/mo); the Full Unit with static pads is $59,990 (≈ $1,313/mo). In a high-rent room, a 20-minute session line is how you monetise the hours a 50-minute appointment cannot fill. See Cryoskin®.

Questions buyers ask

Why does icoone® make sense at Manhattan occupancy costs?

+

Because the metric that matters here is revenue per room-hour, not device price. A platform with 24 to 40 pre-set programmes and a face-and-body menu keeps one room billing across several service categories, and there are no tips, cartridges or applicators to replace on body sessions.

Is icoone® already in New York?

+

Equinox Hotel New York appears on i-Tech's reference wall of properties with icoone® installed worldwide. Fewer than 100 icoone® devices are installed in the United States overall, and in most markets the first icoone® practice is still open. Territory availability in a given Manhattan neighbourhood is worth confirming before you plan a menu around it.

Has icoone® been covered by the press?

+

Yes, in connection with Ricari Studios. Vogue US ran “This Cult L.A. Body-Sculpting Treatment Just Landed in Soho” in October 2019 and “Puff Piece: Test Driving the Newest Solutions for Keeping Skin Fit and Firm” in January 2020. The Wall Street Journal listed it in “Gifts for the ‘Extreme Self-Care’ Person in Your Life,” December 2019.
