The Economics of Adding Cryoskin® Revolution: Session Math
Illustrative Cryoskin® economics: $39,990 at ≈ $875/mo, $59,990 at ≈ $1,313/mo, break-even near 3 sessions a month, and what packages do to the arithmetic.

The useful question about a Cryoskin® Revolution is not what it costs but what the gap is between the payment and what the room bills. The Dynamic wand is $39,990, approximately $875 a month; the Full Unit is $59,990, approximately $1,313 a month, both on a 60-month equipment term loan at $0 down for qualified buyers, subject to approval. Everything below is illustrative planning arithmetic.
What is the basic formula?
One line, and it should stay one line, because every extra assumption is another thing that can be wrong:
(sessions per day × session price × operating days) − monthly payment = monthly contribution before staffing and rent.
Use 26 operating days. Choose a session price you would actually charge in your market. Then run three scenarios instead of one, because the middle scenario is what you will plan against and the outer two tell you how much room for error you have.
What does the arithmetic look like on the Dynamic?
Cryoskin® Revolution Dynamic at $39,990, ≈ $875/mo:
| Sessions/day | Session price | Monthly billings (26 days) | Less payment | Contribution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $150 | $3,900 | −$875 | $3,025 |
| 2 | $200 | $10,400 | −$875 | $9,525 |
| 3 | $300 | $23,400 | −$875 | $22,525 |
At an illustrative $300 session, roughly three sessions a month cover the payment. At $150, roughly six. That is the number worth carrying into a financing conversation, because it reframes the decision: the question is not whether you can afford $875 a month, it is whether you can book three to six appointments in thirty days.
Every figure here is illustrative only. It is planning arithmetic, not a forecast, not a promise of revenue, and your own numbers depend on your market, your pricing, your booking rate and your staffing.
What does the Full Unit change?
Cryoskin® Revolution Full Unit at $59,990, ≈ $1,313/mo:
| Sessions/day | Session price | Monthly billings (26 days) | Less payment | Contribution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $150 | $3,900 | −$1,313 | $2,587 |
| 2 | $200 | $10,400 | −$1,313 | $9,087 |
| 3 | $300 | $23,400 | −$1,313 | $22,087 |
The payment is $438 a month higher — roughly one and a half additional sessions at $300. What you buy for that is throughput: the Full Unit pairs the wand with four static heads, so one room can run a hands-free session alongside a wand session. That only earns its difference when the wand is genuinely the bottleneck. If your schedule has gaps, the Dynamic is the better purchase and you can grow into the other one.

Why do consumables matter more than the sticker?
Because they compound with volume, and the sticker does not. Cryoskin® has no consumables; routine operation uses low-cost conductive gel. On equipment that bills a disposable per appointment, four sessions a day across 26 days is 104 disposables a month, and at even a modest unit cost that line quietly exceeds the device payment.
Put differently: the gap between two devices’ purchase prices is a fixed number you finance over sixty months. The gap between a gel-only session and a cartridge session is a variable that grows exactly as fast as your success does. Busy practices feel it; slow ones never notice it.
How do packages change the picture?
Substantially, and in two directions.
Package pricing lowers your effective per-session figure — a course sold at a package rate books at less than the single-session price, which pushes your break-even session count up. It also raises the number of sessions a client books at the point of sale, which is worth more than the discount costs. Sessions run 20–28 minutes, and clients love it and rebook, so the practical planning question is what fraction of your book is pre-sold rather than what any individual appointment bills.
The disciplined way to model it: build the ladder first — single session, course, membership — then run the arithmetic at your package rate rather than your list rate. If the model works at the package rate, it works. If it only works at list, you have built a plan that depends on never discounting, which no practice manages.
What is not in this arithmetic?
Three things, deliberately.
Operator cost. Contribution above is before staffing. A session that bills $300 and pays an operator $60 contributes $240, not $300.
Room cost. The device occupies square footage that has an alternative use. In a high-rent market, the correct comparison is against what else that room could bill in the same hour.
Acquisition cost. The first client is the expensive one. That is exactly what the 90-Day Launch Program is aimed at: pay full price and we fund your first 90 days of ads and marketing, $10,000 in program value comprising fully managed marketing and an ad budget of up to $2,500 across 90 days, running until 30 booked paying clients or 90 days, whichever comes first, with Launch Playbook participation required. Full-price device purchases only; not combinable with promotions, discounts or demo units.
What supports the demand side?
The installed base is a fair proxy for how the session travels. Cryoskin® is on 210+ luxury cruise ships through OneSpaWorld across 21 cruise lines, at Harrods and at House of Elemis in London, with 5,000+ devices in 50+ countries per the manufacturer. It is made in Lyon, France by Cryoskin® Paris, and DNA Distribution is the exclusive North American distributor.
The session itself is what a client buys again: 20–28 minutes, a relaxing warm-and-cool experience, no suction cups, no downtime, and skin that looks firmer, smoother and more radiant. Operators like it because the device is WiFi-enabled with remote diagnostics and needs no disposables between appointments.
What should you do with these numbers?
Rebuild them with your own inputs before you talk to anyone. Put in your session price, your realistic bookings per day and 26 operating days, and see what the contribution line says at one session a day rather than three — the pessimistic row is the one that tells you whether the purchase is safe.
Then read the terms rather than the summary: financing for the loan structure, the ROI guide for the same arithmetic across the wider catalogue, training for what your staff receives, and Cryoskin® for the device itself. Questions buyers ask
How many sessions a month cover a Cryoskin® payment?
+
At an illustrative $300 session, roughly three sessions a month cover the ≈ $875 payment on a Cryoskin® Revolution Dynamic at $39,990. On the Full Unit at $59,990, ≈ $1,313 a month, roughly five sessions at the same illustrative price. Both figures are planning arithmetic, not a forecast.
What does a Cryoskin® session retail for?
+
Pricing is set by the practice and varies widely by market, menu and package structure. The illustrative figures used here — $150, $200 and $300 — are planning inputs chosen to bracket a realistic range, not recommended prices and not figures reported by the manufacturer.
What are the ongoing costs?
+
There are no consumables. Routine operation uses low-cost conductive gel. The recurring costs that matter in a real model are the financed payment, operator time, room cost and marketing — not per-session disposables, which is what separates this arithmetic from cartridge-based equipment.
Which configuration earns more?
+
The Full Unit at $59,990 adds four static heads so one room can run a hands-free session alongside a wand session. It earns more only if your schedule is dense enough that the wand is the constraint. Below that point the Dynamic at $39,990 has the lower payment and the same session menu.
