How to Evaluate an icoone® Device: A Buyer's Checklist
A 12-point checklist for evaluating icoone®: mechanism, 11 handpieces, 24–40 programmes, regulatory status by model, consumables, training, and five prices from $58,000.

Evaluating an icoone® device comes down to twelve things: the mechanism, the handpiece count, the programme library, two-hand application, regulatory status by model, consumables, training, warranty, installed base, U.S. scarcity, the launch program and the financing math. Work through them in that order and the configuration choice answers itself. Here is the checklist we use with buyers.
What is the single most important thing to verify on an icoone®?
The mechanism, because it determines everything downstream. icoone® runs on Roboderm®, patented in 2008 by Dr. Gianfranco Tudico, CEO of I-Tech Industries. It delivers Multi Micro Alveolar Stimulation (MMAS): 86% of the microstimulator surface is micro-holes, producing up to 21,600 microstimulations per minute. Every programme, handpiece and menu item on the icoone® platform is built on that one engine.
1. Mechanism — ask what actually touches the skin
Roboderm® is non-thermal and works on every skin type, daily, with no downtime. The design was inspired by Prof. Jean-Claude Guimberteau’s work on the microvacuolar structure of connective tissue. When you evaluate any device in this category, ask the rep to explain the physical action in one sentence. If they cannot, you are buying a brochure.
2. Handpieces — count them, then count the attachments
Body and beauty configurations ship with 11 handpieces: 1 Robosolo, 2 Robotwins, 2 Robomini, and 1 Robomicro with 6 attachments. The Microfacial is a different animal — 17 handpieces and applicators, including Microskin in two sizes, the 650 nm LED Photodynamic handpiece, Microkiss in three sizes, Robomini and Robomicro. Handpiece count is a proxy for how many zones one operator can cover without a second purchase.
3. Programmes — 24, 40 or 22?
| Configuration | Programmes | Handpieces | Price | ≈ monthly (60 mo, $0 down, qualified) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| icoone® Microfacial | 22 programmes · 21 face protocols | 17 | $58,000 | ≈ $1,269/mo |
| icoone® Beauty | 24 | 11 | $79,000 | ≈ $1,730/mo |
| icoone® Laser Beauty | 24 | 11 | $85,000 | ≈ $1,860/mo |
| icoone® Medical | 40 (24 aesthetic + 16 medical) | 11 | $87,000 | ≈ $1,904/mo |
| icoone® Laser-Med | 40 (24 aesthetic + 16 medical) | 11 | $89,000 | ≈ $1,948/mo |
All monthly figures are illustrative and subject to applicant and provider approval. Full pricing detail lives on icoone® cost.
4. Two-hand application — the feature nobody else has
Two-hand symmetrical application is exclusive to icoone®. One operator works both sides of the body at once with paired Robotwins handpieces. This is not a marketing line — it changes room layout, session length and how many bodies a therapist can move through a day. Ask any competing device to demonstrate the same thing.
5. Regulatory status — read it model by model
This is where most buyers get sloppy. icoone® Laser Beauty is cleared under FDA 510(k) K182453 and icoone® Laser-Med under 510(k) K211272, each for four labeled indications: relief of minor muscle aches and pain; relief of muscle spasms; temporary improvement of local blood circulation; temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. The non-laser Beauty and Medical configurations and the Microfacial carry no FDA wording. All icoone® devices are CE marked and built under ISO 13485 by i-Tech Industries in Bologna, Italy. Your menu and your ads have to live inside whichever line applies to the model you actually bought.
6. Consumables — the number that compounds
Body sessions use a client body suit. There are no tips, cartridges or applicators to replace. On the Microfacial there are no cartridges or disposables to replace. Run the arithmetic against any device that charges per-treatment consumables: at 6 sessions a day, 26 days a month, even a $12 tip is roughly $1,870 a month off your gross — more than the monthly payment on a Beauty.
7. Training — included, or a line item?
Training is included with every full-price device from DNA Distribution and is delivered by our team against the i-Tech curriculum. Your staff learns the handpieces, the programme library, Grip 1/2/3 modes from the U.S. manual, consultation flow and hygiene protocol including the body suit. Details are on the training page.
8. Warranty and support
Manufacturer warranty on icoone®, plus a dedicated success manager and open-house event support. Confirm who answers the phone when a handpiece needs service — with fewer than 100 devices in the country, a distributor with parts and trained techs matters more than it would on a commodity platform.
9. Installed base — where is it already working?
i-Tech reports 7,000+ centers in 40+ countries, 6M+ sessions a year and 800,000+ clients. Installed worldwide at Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Dior Spa at The Lana in Dubai, Mandarin Oriental, Aman, Six Senses, Equinox Hotel New York, SHA Wellness Clinic and Clinique La Prairie, among others. That list is a reference wall, not a client list — but it tells you which procurement departments have already done their own diligence.
10. U.S. scarcity — the part that is genuinely rare
Fewer than 100 icoone® devices are installed in the United States. Compare that to the thousands of units competing platforms have placed. If you are the first icoone® in your metro, you are selling something nobody within driving distance can match. Territory conversations happen through DNA Distribution as authorized U.S. distributor, with icoone® exclusivity in Florida.
11. The 90-Day Launch Program
Pay full price and we fund your first 90 days of ads and marketing — $10,000 program value, on us, including fully managed marketing and up to $2,500 in ad spend. It runs from marketing go-live until 30 booked paying clients or 90 days, whichever comes first, and requires Launch Playbook participation. Full terms on the launch program page.
12. Financing math — never a monthly figure without the term
Every monthly number above assumes an equipment term loan through Brickhouse Financial: 60 months, $0 down for qualified buyers, around 11.3% APR. Qualification typically means 2+ years in business, 670+ credit and $8K+ in monthly deposits; startups are reviewed case by case. See financing for the application path.
How do I turn the checklist into a decision?
Start from the menu you intend to sell. A facial-led skin clinic lands on the Microfacial. A spa building lymphatic-drainage sessions and body work lands on Beauty or Laser Beauty. A practice that wants the cleared indications for cellulite-appearance programs needs a laser model. A PT, chiropractic or plastic-surgery practice looks at Medical or Laser-Med. Cross-shopping against a cryo-thermal spa device instead? Read icoone® vs Cryoskin®, then compare the whole aesthetic range and skin-tightening category before you sign anything.
Questions buyers ask
What should I check first when evaluating an icoone® device?
+
Check the configuration against your menu. Face-only practices look at the Microfacial at $58,000; face-and-body menus start at icoone® Beauty, $79,000. Then check regulatory status, because only the two laser models carry a 510(k), and confirm what training and launch support come with the purchase.
Which icoone® models are FDA-cleared?
+
icoone® Laser Beauty is cleared under 510(k) K182453 and icoone® Laser-Med under 510(k) K211272, both for four labeled indications: relief of minor muscle aches and pain; relief of muscle spasms; temporary improvement of local blood circulation; temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite.
Does an icoone® need consumables?
+
Body sessions use a client body suit, so there are no tips, cartridges or applicators to replace. The Microfacial has no cartridges or disposables to replace. Compare that against devices that bill per-treatment tips, because consumable cost changes your margin on every single session.
How many icoone® devices are in the United States?
+
Fewer than 100, per DNA Distribution, against 7,000+ centers in 40+ countries worldwide per i-Tech Industries. That gap is the reason U.S. buyers should evaluate territory before configuration — scarcity is part of what you are buying.
What does an icoone® purchase include?
+
Training, shipping, installation, manufacturer warranty, the 90-Day Launch Program, a dedicated success manager and open-house event support, on full-price device purchases. Financing runs through Brickhouse Financial over 60 months at $0 down for qualified buyers, subject to applicant and provider approval.
